Nah drinking isn't a problem. Alcoholism is. I don't quite understand the spurious relationship between what is presented and drinking, there are many things that are problematic in the world. I found a little education about emergency contraception was nice.

I won't ever need emergency contraception though because I wear superhero costumes to bed... It helps ward off nightmares because no one will upset super-man. Unfortunately it virtually guarantees that sex will only happen with alcoholic women who's drinking has become an extreme problem for them.

Yeah I'm sorry.. I see how problem drinking and emergency contraception go together now, my bad,

P.S. Tuesday is cookie monster night if you want to roll in the crumbs wonder woman!

We appreciate your input, Wonder Woman, and would simply like to clarify a few things.

"Pregnancy is a right."

Yes, women have the right to either reproduce or not.

"If you need to take a pill because you are dumb then you deserve what you get."

We do not feel controlling estrus is dumb.

"If you are raped then give the baby up for adoption."

However, the pregnancy itself is torturous.

"if women would keep their legs closed and not wide open for ANY man."

We have nothing against the choice of celibacy.

"Then our population would not be so over populated."

The world is not overpopulated as much as it is unequal, with some parts of the world consuming much more than their fair share.

"So many woman say “pity me”. I have seen a women not get their way and she cries rape or woman use a child/pregnancy against men. So sad."

This population of women is probably not the best representation of the over 3 billion women on this planet.

"And Maybe some people should really take a look at their own life 'Tiffany' and maybe write a paper on drinking and how bad it is."

Yes, drinking is bad, .

"I pitty some men. I feel bad for the male gender. They get screwed by women ALL the time. And yes I am of the female gender."

The patriarchy almost certainly appreciates your concern for it.

Interesting blog. I hope you keep developing your ideas. Just one note on the commercialization of medicine: I would argue that the profit motive inhibits progress because of its discriminatory approach and because its constant drive for profit over quality. The medical industrial complex then takes that research, modifies it, and claims the supremacy of the free market.

With all due respect, Laura -

“Thy eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.” Psalm 139:16

As much as I respect all religions, I also respect philosophy and this is a case of begging the question: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Begging_the_question

But I also like this verse from the New Testament:

"1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." - Matthew 7:1-2

"I am a woman and do believe that a woman can control her own body, just not that of her unborn child."

I commend you, but a fetus is not the equivalent of a child. And as much as I respect all living creatures, from cows to monkeys to fetuses, I do not think it is appropriate to prod around in a women's uterus. If you are a conservative, how can you agree with the government controlling the most intimate areas of your body and life?

"I read that women who are raped are more likely to struggle with the emotional pain of abortion than those who weren’t raped. It also stated that incest victims are made to have abortions by the men controlling them, even if they themselves want the keep the child. That way they can get rid of evidence."

Yes, you read but didn't experience. You can't trust everything you read. That's beside the point thought. It is up to each individual woman to decide whether to have an abortion or not. If they don't want one, then they have every right not to. We are not encouraging abortions. We simply want women who *do* want abortions to have that choice, hence, the term "pro-choice".

"If given the chance, ever cluster of cells that grows to form a baby will become a grown man or woman with their own rights."

A sperm cell has half the DNA of an adult. Does that mean it has half your adult rights?

"Another thing I read is that when a woman commits a crime worthy of death, she will be excused from execution until the child is born, because the child is not guilty of the crime the mother committed."

That's good but we are talking about ectopic pregnancies, rape, deformities, etc., not the crimes of the mother, which is absent in the aforementioned examples.

Yes, I agree that two wrongs don't make a right, and punishing the mother for being raped or what have you also does not make a right.

"Another woman said how she hates it that they’re using rape victims as an excuse to make abortion a growing industry.
Here is one of the sites that I went to…http://joseromia.tripod.com/survivors.html
You can also look up “The Truth About Abortion” on Youtube, if you want to know the TRUTH."

No ones using anyone as an excuse. It is a REALITY that many women need abortions but can't access them so they resort to dangerous methods that could kill the mother too. Second, it is not a for-profit industry. The doctors don't make much money and their lives are threatened every day by anti-abortion groups. The number of providers are actually shrinking. Therefore, the only ones that are doing it are those who genuinely care about women. Also, many anti-abortion rhetoric are made by front groups and, an any event, one person's story does not speak for everyone.

"Why is it that pro-choice always means anti-Christ?"

I believe you're mistaken. This is the Antichrist - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antichrist . Jesus actually taught love and was quite a feminist. I do not believe I am against Jesus or his teachings. But if you insist that I am anti-Christ, then so be it. Let me ask you something though and I want you to answer truthfully. I don't want to ask this but feel it is necessary seeing as how there are many women out there who are actually in the position I'm about to put you in and who are being bullied. Putting yourself in another's shoes, if you were brutally raped by, say, your dad, would you deliver your dad's baby under government surveillance. If you had a medical condition and would die with the baby, would you get an abortion or die with the baby? And if you arrived at the doctor's, would you like being interrogated?
